What’s happening
We have some exciting news. From January we will be offering week day basketball at the Cornerstone Academy in Hamworthy.
We have received lots of feedback over the past year about players wanting to have more basketball, and to be available during the week after school not just weekends. Well, we heard you, and this is our first step in this direction.
Cornerstone Academy has a full size court with 2 swing-out hoops and 8 side hoops. It also has a real wood sprung floor for that authentic feel. We have access to changing and toilet facilities, a water station, and onsite parking. The full address is: Blandford Cl, Hamworthy, Poole BH15 4BQ
Initially we will be offering the following sessions:
- Tuesdays 5pm-6pm: Nippers Red (those around 9-10 years old)
- Tuesdays 6pm-7pm: Juniors Red (those around 11-13 years old)
- Thursdays 5pm-6pm: Nippers Yellow (those around 9-10 years old)
- Thursdays 6pm-7pm: Juniors Yellow (those around 11-13 years old)
Note that all players must be able to comfortably shoot into a standard 10′ hoop as we will not have our portable hoops with us.
Sessions start w.c 9th January.
What you need to do
If you and your player are happy with your current weekend session(s), then there is nothing to do. If you would prefer to switch over to a week day session, or wish to extend into a week day session as well, then please contact Coach John via email. All sessions are the usual £27.50 month so if you wish to switch over, payments don’t change. If you wish to extend, then you just need to update your regular Standing Order payment by £27.50.
When you need to do this
Further to our Early Bird registrations, and the external marketing which started 5th December to all those on our waiting lists over the last 6 months, we strongly suggest you get in touch ASAP as spaces are limited to 20 per session!
Once I have your registration, I will be in touch to confirm your session and the next steps you need to take.
