As you know, further to several weeks off and on play outdoors at The Branksome Centre, we restarted indoor play at The Bourne Academy from 23rd May.

The new facility includes:
– more hoops
– a great condition resin sports floor
– clearer court lines using updated FIBA standard markings
– better changing facilities right next to the court
– better storage for more equipment
– a covered outdoor seating area for parents with table tennis tables!

What’s more is that the venue is totally cut off from the public on Sundays, and we have sole use of the facility throughout the whole day making it really feel like our own home court.

Basketball England have advised us that spectators are now allowed at indoor venues! We have therefore ensured adequate bench seating inside the hall is available for 20-30 parents/carers. All we ask is that you sit in groups of maximum 6 per household, 2 households max to mix, sit 1 metre+ apart when in the hall and to not step onto the actual playing court areas. Please wear masks unless you are exempt.

Important: I am afraid that no dogs are allowed on site. Also parents and players awaiting to enter the hall are welcome to hang out on the Astroturf area but we have been asked not to kick footballs around outside due to lease limitations with local residents.
